🇨🇵 Né dans l'obscurité de 1983, DRAKKAR, groupe de speed/heavy metal, doit attendre 1987 pour enregistrer une maquette sous la direction artistique de Rudy Lenners (ex-batteur des Scorpions). En 1988, ils enregistrent un album et signent un contrat avec New Musidisc (Paris) ; le mythique album X-RATED est né et acclamé. Les concerts font partie de leur quotidien, et le groupe est sélectionné pour assurer la première partie de groupes tels que Queensrÿche, Metallica, Overkill et Slayer lors de leurs tournées européennes. En 1999, DRAKKAR revient avec un EP de 5 titres.
Après un hiatus, DRAKKAR renaît avec un nouveau line-up en 2011. Début 2012, X-RATED est remasterisé avec deux titres supplémentaires enregistrés et produits par Simone Mularoni (DGM). Une nouvelle version de Alone (musique et vidéo) est également enregistrée. En mars 2013, Fab " Leni " Vanbellinghen (chanteuse d'origine) rejoint le groupe.
En octobre 2014, DRAKKAR enregistre son nouvel album ONCE UPON A TIME IN HELL avec Jonas Sanders (Pro-Pain) à la batterie. Le groupe donne plus de 80 concerts à travers l'Europe, ouvrant pour Tokyo Blade, Tyson Dog, Lizzy Borden ou Tygers of Pan Tang. Ils se produisent au plus grand festival européen en salle, le Power, Prog & Metal Festival à Mons (Belgique).
En 2016, le groupe sort un album live intitulé Once Upon A Time Hellive. Mais à la mi-avril 2016, la famille DRAKKAR est mise à mal : Thierry Del Cane, l'un des membres originels, décède en rentrant d'un concert. Après quelques semaines de réflexion et en mémoire de leur frère, le groupe décide de poursuivre l'aventure avec les membres restants. Pendant le Once Upon a Time Tour, DRAKKAR commence à travailler sur la touche finale de leur nouvel album. Adrien, le fils du batteur original, Tim Delvall, est désormais en charge de la batterie et Jesus rejoint le groupe en tant que bassiste. Quelques mois plus tard, DIABOLICAL EMPATHY est né. Après la sortie de l'album, le groupe reprend la route pour présenter sa musique en Belgique, en France, aux Pays-Bas et en Allemagne.
En 2018, le guitariste Pat quitte le groupe et est remplacé par Jiël (Moonchild, ex-Paul Di'Anno).
En août 2021, DRAKKAR joue à l'Alcatraz Festival, après quoi Leni et Richy quittent le groupe.
En 2022, DRAKKAR accueille un nouveau guitariste, Valéry (Pestifer, Moonchild). Il arrive avec une solide expérience live et studio. En mai 2023, Olivier (Stand For) rejoint le groupe en tant que chanteur et leader.
Les guerriers sont maintenant prêts à poursuivre l'aventure DRAKKAR !

The band plays more than 80 gigs across Europe, opening for Tokyo Blade, Tyson Dog, Lizzy Borden or Tygers of Pan Tang. They perform at the biggest European indoor festival, the Power, Prog & Metal Festival in Mons (Belgium).

After some weeks of consideration and in memory of their brother, the band decides to continue the adventure with the remaining members. During the Once Upon a Time Tour, DRAKKAR begins to work on the final touch of their new album. Adrien, the son of the original drummer, Tim Delvall, is now in charge of the drums and Jesus joins the band as bass player. Several months later, DIABOLICAL EMPATHY was born. The album out, the band hits the road once again to deliver their music in Belgium, France, The Netherlands and Germany.
